Old Fashioned Corn Flake Candy

Do you like a sweet that has a bit of a crunch, but tastes amazing? Then you have to try this old fashioned Corn Flake candy.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cup corn flakes

Instructions
 

  • In a large saucepan, cook the corn syrup and sugar {on medium heat} until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add peanut butter and stir until smooth.
  • Gradually add corn flakes, 1 C. at a time, while mixing.
  • Remove from heat, then spoon mixture onto wax paper {or aluminum foil} and let cool completely. (If you're making it for Christmas this is when you’d add the sprinkles.)

Notes

The official recipe calls for 6 cups of corn flakes, but you can use anywhere from 4-6 cups. depending on how much you’d like to make and how crunchy or “gooey” you’d like your candy {use more cornflakes for more crunch}. It's really up to you, and what you enjoy.
