Course Breakfast
Cuisine American
- 1 cup of self rising flour
- ½ cup butter softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- Splash of water
Grease a 6 cup muffin tin.
In a large bowl, whisk together the butter and sour cream. Add the flour and stir until well mixed. The dough will be thick and sticky. If your dough is a little dry add a splash of water.
Divide the dough and scoop into the muffin tins.
Bake at 400° F for 20 minutes or until the biscuits are brown on top.
Serve warm with butter and honey , or with gravy! I chose biscuits and gravy!
Can I double the recipe? This recipe is easily doubled or even tripled! Just double or triple the ingredients as you wish.
My biscuits crumbled. What did I do wrong? If your biscuits crumbled your dough may have been a tad dry! Next time add a splash of water to the dough, and it should help the batter stay together better.
Can I use margarine instead of butter? I personally have not tried them with anything other than real butter. It may change the texture of the sour cream biscuits.
