Do you have a meal that you can eat over and over again? No matter how many times you eat it you never get tired of it. For me that meal is steak fingers, french fries, and gravy. I could eat it 365 days a year, and never get tired of it. In fact, it’s been my favorite since I was child.
Steak fingers are small strips of steak that are battered and fried similar to Chicken fried steak! If you’ve never heard of chicken, fried steak it’s heaven in your mouth.Chicken fried steak gets its name as it is battered just like fried chicken. You may also know it by the name of Southern fried steak if you’re from the lower half of the United states.
Recently my doctor recommended that I try the Keto diet for my MS. To my dismay I quickly found out steak fingers weren’t keto friendly! I accepted that challenge! When something is your favorite meal you quickly find ways to make them keto friendly.
These air fryer keto steak fingers are made in your air fryer, delicious, and actually really easy. Instead of your traditional flour it uses almond flour and a mixture of parmesan cheese. These air fryer keto steak fingers are keto friendly, gluten free, and low carb. They are done in under 30 minutes. Which makes them the perfect mid-week dinner. If you don’t have an air fryer yet I recommend a Nuwave! They are a great brand! I have had mine for about three years with no problems.
Here are the ingredients you need:
- 1 lb of cube steaks cut into strips
- 1 cup almond flour
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt plus extra
- 1 tsp pepper plus extra
- 1 Tbs Slap Ya Mama
- ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 eggs
- Olive Oil Mister
Instructions
- Set up a cooking station and add almond flour, parmesan cheese, and all of the spices and seasoning to a bowl large enough to dredge the steaks. Keep a towel on hands your hands will get sticky.
- Add the whipping cream, and eggs to separate large bowl and whisk.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper across the cube steaks.
- Dredge the cube steak in the almond flour mixture, and then the cream and eggs, and back into the almond flour.
- Set each steak finger aside.
- Preheat air fryer to 400° F.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Add the steak fingers into the basket. Lightly mist with olive oil. Air fry the steak fingers for 10 minutes.
- Repeat with additional batches if necessary.
- Serve with keto gravy if desired. I like to eat mine with bbq sauce.

Made this last night. Used my own added spice mix as I did not have “Slap Ya Mama.” This was delicious! The amount of ingredients was spot-on to the amount of meat. Seriously – this was really really good. Thank you.
