These air-fried three-ingredient chicken nuggets were no different! They are delicious and actually really easy to make. The basic recipe has only three ingredients: canned chicken, cheese, and an egg. I’m all about the flavor, though, so that recipe was changed really fast.
We all know that chicken nuggets are kid-friendly but not always the healthiest option. Chicken nuggets aren’t just for children, though. I’m thirty and will be the first to admit that I can still eat my weight in nuggets. These three-ingredient air-fried chicken nuggets are gluten-free and low-carb. That’s a win if you’re trying to eat healthier.
These three-ingredient air-fried chicken nuggets were a hit at my house. These nuggets were crispy and full of flavor. I made mine spicy, but they are customizable to your needs. I liked that they were cooked in my air fryer, so they weren’t covered in oil. Since there are only three ingredients, the flavor is really up to you. Serve them with a salad and fries, or whatever your favorite side dish is.
Here are the ingredients you will need:
- 2 cans of 12.5 oz chicken
- 1 cup of Taco Bell Fire Habanero Cheese (you can use Colby Jack if you don’t want the spice)
- 2 eggs
- seasoning of your choice.
- Olive Oil Cooking Spray
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Prep the air fryer to 400 degrees F. Drain any liquid from the canned chicken and add the chicken to a bowl. Shred finely using forks.
- Add the cheese, egg, and seasonings (if desired) to the bowl! Stir until thoroughly combined.
- Form 14–15 chicken patties from the mixture. Lightly spray the nuggets and the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Cook for 15-20 minutes, and allow the dish to cool before serving.
- Serve it with your favorite condiment.

Do you need to flip the nuggets over half way thru the air fryer cooking time?

I didn’t but my air fryer has space under the basket. If if yours doesn’t I would flip about halfway through.
