If you love chocolate treats then you must try this 3 ingredient fudge. Milk Chocolate Chips, condensed milk, and butter make this fudge simple and easy. Add the fact that it’s made in the microwave and this recipe is an easy win. There are many variations of fudge, and this fudge is no different. The joy of simple 3 ingredient fudge is you can make several different varieties of fudges with this recipe by adding simple mix-ins. Here is how to make 3 ingredients fudge.

Here are the ingredients you will need:
- 3 cups of milk chocolate chips (Can also use semi-sweet chocolate chips)
- 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- ¼ cup butter
Optional Mix Ins:
Caramel: Make a caramel layer and pour on top.
Nuts: Mix in 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans.
Peppermint: Sprinkle crushed candy canes on top.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Line a 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper. Lightly butter and set aside.
- In a large microwavable bowl combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Microwave in 30 second increments until the chocolate has melted. It took mine about two and ½ minutes. Don’t overcook it or it will get gritty. Quickly pour into the prepared baking dish and press down with a spatula. Refrigerate until set.
- If adding a caramel layer, pour melted caramels across and sprinkle with sea salt. Make sure the fudge has hardened first.

VARIATIONS:
- Fudge with nuts: Mix in 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans immediately after the chocolate melted.
- Peppermint Fudge: Sprinkle crushed candy canes on top immediately after you pour melted chocolate in the pan.
HELPFUL TIPS:
Line your Pan. Make sure to line your baking dish with parchment paper and lightly butter the paper. Doing this will make sure your fudge doesn’t stick to the pan.
Don’t Overcook. My fudge only took about 2 ½ minutes to melt and become creamy. Be careful not to over your 3 ingredient fudge or it will become grainy.
Adding More Layers. If adding the caramel layer, to your 3 ingredient fudge make sure the fudge has hardened completely before pouring the caramel on top.
Storing: Add to an airtight container and place in the refrigerator. Remove from the fridge about 15-20 minutes prior to serving. I find it easiest to cut with a plastic knife. It should keep in the refrigerator for about 2 to 3 weeks.
Freezing: I like to individually wrap the pieces in plastic wrap then store in a ziplock bag. You can also wrap the whole block of fudge. Once ready to serve just thaw and cut if needed.
