Three ingredients that you probably already have in your cabinet make this yummy , but easy banana bread. Don’t get me wrong… I love homemade banana bread! You know the kind that your grandma would make that takes hours just to rise. As a wife I don’t always have the time or even energy to make it. This banana bread is not only a time saver, but it tastes amazing.
This banana bread takes just a simple yellow cake mix, three ripe bananas, and two eggs. Relatively simple ingredients, but when combined taste absolutely delicious. It is great as a quick breakfast, a potluck surprise, or as a desert for a weeknight.
I like that this recipe is versatile and can be changed to your liking. Just add chocolate chips or nuts for a different flavor. Adding nuts does bake it a more traditional banana bread. In fact this recipe is so easy you can make multiples loafs with different toppings. Your neighbors and friends will love you. Here is how to make the simple banana bread.
Here are all the ingredients:
- 1 yellow cake mix
- 3-4 ripe bananas
- 2 eggs
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Combine the eggs and bananas in a large bowl until well blended.
- Add in the cake mix and stir until everything’s just combined.
- Pour your batter into 2 loaf pans and bake at 350 for about 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in the middle of the loaf comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Share and enjoy!
Notes:
If you choose to add nuts or chocolate chips cooking time may vary. I choose to add the chocolate chips into the batter, and bake in the bread. However, you can sprinkle them across as well. If your adding nuts I recommend sprinkling it across the top of the batter prior to baking. If you try a variation let me know.
