Do you want a simple, but delicious treat that even children can help make. Heck, I’d bet with supervision they could make them themselves. Then you have to try these Fruity Pebble Marshmallow Treats. They are full of fruity flavors, and so simple. You’ll wonder why didn’t I think of this sooner?
If your like me you enjoy any cereal treat. There are so many versions, and can be made with almost any cereal. One of my favorites are these Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats. They are a great take on the original. If you like cereal treats I encourage you to give them a try. These Fruity Pebble Marshmallow Treats are also a great variation of the original. In fact, because they have almost the same texture they’re just as easy to make.
Cereal treats have been around forever, and typically have just a few ingredients. Traditionally these ingredients are marshmallows, butter, and a cereal of your choosing. They are no bake, making them easy for anyone to make. These Fruity Pebble Marshmallow Treats are quickly becoming one of my favorites, and I’m sure they will be yours too. Each bite is bursting with that fruity flavor fruity pebbles are known for and ooey gooey marshmallows that make them everyone’s favorite.
Here are the ingredients you will need:
- 15 oz mini marshmallows
- 8 Tbs butter
- 8 cups fruity pebbles cereal
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (You can also sub 1 tsp lemon extract)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- On low heat melt together butter and all but 1 cup of mini marshmallows.
- Once marshmallows are melted stir in remaining 1 cup of marshmallows. Stir for a few seconds and remove from heat.
- Stir in vanilla or lemon extract.
- Add cereal and mixed until fully combined.
- Place in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
- Allow to Cool. Cut into squares and serve.
NOTES:
Adding lemon instead of vanilla gives these treats a wonderful fruity flavor. You can also make these treats crunchier by adding up to another cup of fruity pebbles.
